The scene all too often here outside pimpsnow headquarters. We are located on one of the steepest graded Mnt passes in Colorado and all the wrecks seem to happen right on the corner outside our office. This time everyone survived miraculously .

Yesterday was the last day of lift operation here in Steamboat Springs Colorado home to pimpsnow head quarters.  The day went off with sunny skies and the usual excessive partying and huck fest.

So I am out the other night and somebody uses a land line phone and puts it down in front of me with out hanging it up. I really did not notice it was off the hook until I heard a busy signal. Then I was like holy shit a busy signal. I had completely forgotten about this sound. Obviously this will mean nothing to you unless your like me and have not had a land line phone for over ten years.

I guess I could not ignore this one for too long. The stats are in and this has officially been the warmest winter on record according to the NOAA. In a CNN article released today warming factors were contributed from a long term warming trend and the El Nino effect. The NOAA avoided pointing to green house gases as a direct contributing factor but do find human activity to “quite likly play a role in change”. I will turn on the comments for this one to see what you all have to say. East coast riders try to keep the cus words down to a minumum.

The US open of snowboarding is amongst us. The longest running competition in snowboard history (twenty-five years) started Monday. To watch the competition live check out Lat34 for live webcasts. After that click here to see some of the boards they had to compete on twenty-five years ago and think of how good us snot nosed kids have it with our ultralight boards, carbon fiber bindings and audex blue-tooth enabled jackets.
